Art, culture, and handmade wines in the heart of Cayo

Reyna’s Art Gallery & Café is a fine art gallery, working studio, and café in a restored two-story wooden building on West Street in San Ignacio. Founded by Cuban-born artist Fernando Reyna Escalona and Janet Reyna, the space brings together original art, rotating exhibitions, handmade fruit wines, cocktails, conversation, and Belizean cultural exchange.

Current Exhibition

Our Sea, Our Life is a group exhibition at Reyna’s Art Gallery & Café celebrating Belize’s extraordinary marine life through painting and sculpture. The exhibition opened on April 11, 2026, bringing together fifteen artists whose work reflects the beauty, diversity, and cultural importance of the sea.

Meet the Artist

Cuban-born artist Fernando Reyna Escalona is a painter, portraitist, and founder of Reyna’s Art Gallery & Café in San Ignacio, Belize. Trained in Cuba and internationally exhibited, his work connects Caribbean cultural memory, portraiture, and Belizean community life.

Sophia Lisbey is a Belizean visual artist whose work appeared in the Our Sea, Our Life exhibition at Reyna's. Her practice focuses on the natural environment of Belize, with particular attention to marine life and the relationship between coastal communities and the reef.
